I am a working mom who loves God and my family. I want to live up to the three R's: Respect, Responsibility and Resourcefulness. I will protect my children's health even when it is not popular, protect the environment even when it takes more work and live a life that is striving to be holy.

Bountiful Living
I love getting lots of fresh fruits and veggies every week! I love Bountiful Baskets!http://www6.bountifulbaskets.org Each week I can contribute for a basket of 50% fruit and 50% veggies and then pick it up Saturday morning, after grabbing a latte (Mommy's alone time). I bring it home and Cade and I go through the basket and discover all of the wonderful surprises. Last week we had persimmons! No one in my house had ever had one so we are looking forward to it! I also contributed to get a LARGE box of green beans that are now in my freezer for mid-winter yummies. I saved some to can dilly beans- which will be a first for me. I'd better get my contribution set up cause I have a Saturday morning date with a laundry basket.
Blogging for my sanity
So the thoughts in my head and the convictions in my heart will become words on a page. My sister, in her thoughtful advice and wisdom suggested I turn to blogging to stay sane and share some of the concerns, struggles and tips to live a full, healthy life.
For years I have felt the conviction of living a healthy, God loving, thoughtful and Eco-conscious life. I have, however, struggled with the implementation of that. I haven't been very healthy. My lifestyle doesn't always reflect what I think is important. Recently I have been reading "Green Mama" by Tracey Bianchi. traceybianchi.com She has been able to express into words the feelings in my heart. I highly recommend this book for tips and inspiration for more green living in the midst of a busy life.
Here is the beginning of my diary of sorts.
